Aua has been supporting this cause on all levels for years. AUA has been sponsoring nation-wide newborn screening for Sickle Cell Disease and Sickle Cell Trait since September 2020. Teaching medical students about SCD has become a part of the curriculum for the Global Health Track, including seminars and site visits to our Sheltered Workshop.
